ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE INFORMATION OFFICER EXAM

Dear Members,

1. The Tourism Knowledge Exam for Information Officers, the written foreign language exam, and the oral foreign language exam, which will be conducted in accordance with Articles 46 and following of the Travel Agencies Regulation, will be organized by TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) on the dates specified below and under the conditions stated on the website (www.tursab.org.tr, https://akademi.tursab.org.tr).
2. The exam fee is 4,000 TL, and the fee can be paid via credit card through the exam application screens.
   1. The exam fee for the representatives and authorized signatories of travel agencies is 2,000 TL with a 50% discount. (Each company has the right for a maximum of 3 different representatives and authorized persons to participate in the exam for free once per person.) Individuals who have previously benefited from the free exam right in past periods and companies whose total of 3 representatives and authorized signatories have benefited from the free exam cannot take advantage of this exception.
   2. For agency employees, the exam fee is 2,000 TL with a 50% discount. (For agency employees, the exam fee is 2,000 TL with a 50% discount. It is required to upload the current dated QR code document "SGK Registration and Service Statement/Workplace Title List" obtained from E-Government to the system, and applications made with the "Employment Entry Declaration" will not be accepted.)
   3. Due to the disaster centered in Kahramanmaraş, which affected our 4 provinces (Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya), no exam fee will be charged to the representatives and authorized personnel of travel agencies located in the region.
3. Exam Application Dates: October 5, 2026 – November 3, 2026
4. Final Application Date: November 3, 2026, (Time: 23:59)
5. Applications will be made online by participants through the TÜRSAB Academy website. (https://akademi.tursab.org.tr)
6. The Information Officer Exam will be conducted online according to the following schedule:

• Tourism Knowledge Exam Date and Time (Online)        : November 7, 2026 (10:30)
• Foreign Language Written Exam Date (Online)              : November 14, 2026 (10:30)
• Foreign Language Oral Exam Date (Online)                   : November 21-22, 2026

7. The Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam; will be conducted in Turkish and will cover subjects such as General Tourism Knowledge, Tourism Geography, and Tourism Economics and Marketing, consisting of 50 questions. The exam duration is 60 minutes. Those who score 70 points or higher and pass the exam will be able to serve as Information Officers in "C" group Travel Agencies. Those who pass the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge exam and also succeed in the Information Officer Foreign Language Written Exam and the Information Officer Foreign Language Oral Exam will be able to serve as Information Officers in "A," "B," and "C" group Travel Agencies.
8. The Foreign Language Written and Oral Examination for the Information Officer position will be conducted in English, Arabic, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Bulgarian. Participants will be able to take the foreign language written and oral examination in the language they selected while filling out the online application form. The foreign language written exam is evaluated out of 50 points, and the oral exam is also evaluated out of 50 points.
9. Individuals who have turned 18 years old as of the day of the exam can participate in the exam.
10. Documents to be uploaded to the system after filling out the Online Application Form:

• A color passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months,
• Identity card or driver's license,
• The agency representative and authorization officer is the most recent signature circular that shows this information.
• The agency employee must provide the up-to-date QR code document of "SGK Registration and Service Statement/Workplace Title List" obtained from e-Government (applications made with the "Job Entry Notification" will not be accepted).
• Participants who have previously received the Information Officer Achievement Certificate and only wish to obtain the Foreign Language Achievement Certificate must upload their Information Officer Achievement Certificates to the system.

11. To participate in the written foreign language exam to be held on November 14, 2026, a minimum score of 70 must be obtained in the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam.
12. Participants who have previously received the Information Officer Achievement Certificate and only wish to obtain the foreign language achievement certificate are not required to take the Tourism Knowledge Exam, but they must take the Written Foreign Language Exam and the Oral Foreign Language Exam.
13. To participate in the Foreign Language Oral Exam, which will take place on November 21-22, 2026, a minimum score of 20 or higher out of 50 in the Foreign Language Written Exam is required.
14. Foreign nationals participating in the exam are required to present their work permits or residence permits. These individuals must have a temporary Turkish ID number.
15. Unless there is a force majeure event as of the exam date, the payments made will not be refunded.

ONLINE EXAM PROCESS

1. Candidates who have submitted all required documents must log in to the system by creating a user account on the TÜRSAB Academy website at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/register/ by 11:59 p.m. on November 2, 2026. Candidates who already have an account on the TÜRSAB Academy website must log in to the system using their username and password at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/. Candidates who previously had an account but cannot remember their username and/or password can click the “Forgot Your Password?” link to have a password reset email sent to the email address they previously provided.
2. Candidates who log into the system can access the application page by clicking on the "New Application & My Current Applications" option, fill out the application form, and complete their applications by adding the required documents to the form using the upload options located at the bottom of the form. (Visuals such as photographs, identity cards, and the Information Officer Success Certificate must be uploaded in JPG format, while documents like signature circulars, SGK Registration and Service Breakdown/Workplace Title List must be uploaded in PDF format)
3. Completed applications will be reviewed by TÜRSAB Academy, and any erroneous applications will be rejected, with the candidate being informed to make corrections. After the applications without errors are pre-approved, an email containing a payment link will be sent to the candidates. This payment link can also be accessed through the TÜRSAB Academy website. Candidates who receive the payment information will complete the application process by paying the exam fee with a credit card. Our candidates who have completed their procedures will await the exam day.
4. Since candidates need to log in with their username and password on the TÜRSAB Academy website on the exam day and time, it is important that they do not lose their account information.
5. For the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam, which will be held online on November 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., candidates will be able to log in to the system using the user password they set during registration to begin the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/ Candidates who previously obtained an Information Officer Certificate of Achievement and who indicate this and upload their certificate during the application process will not be allowed to take the exam on November 7, 2026.
6. Participants who score 70 or above in the Online Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam to be held on November 7, 2026, will be entitled to take the Online Foreign Language Written Exam to be held on November 14, 2026.
7. The links required to enter the written and oral exams will be shared with the candidates by the foreign language school organizing the exam.
8. After the process of the Online Foreign Language Written Exam to be held on November 14, 2026, and the Online Foreign Language Oral Exam to be held on November 21-22, 2026; participants who score 70 points or more in total from the written exam (calculated out of 50 points) and the oral exam (calculated out of 50 points) will be entitled to receive the "Foreign Language for Information Officer" certificate. (Candidates who score below 20 points in the Foreign Language Written Exam are not eligible to participate in the Foreign Language Oral Exam)
9. Participants will be able to learn all exam results by following the announcements and logging in with their username and password on the TÜRSAB Academy website. Similarly, users who pass the exams will be able to receive their certificates digitally and with QR codes using this method. 10. In accordance with Article 48 of the Travel Agencies Regulation, exam preparation materials and question banks for candidates taking the exam are available on the “TÜRSAB Academy” website under the “Online Preparation Courses for the Information Officer Exam” section. These training materials are available free of charge until November 6, 2026, to help participants prepare for the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/ws/enformasyon-memurlugu-online-hazirlik-egitimleri/ In addition, these training materials are considered mandatory documents that must be downloaded during the exam application process; the application process will not be completed unless candidates obtain the relevant materials.
11. Since the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam will be conducted online simultaneously for all participants, excuses will not be accepted unless there is a force majeure (documented with a report). The force majeure must be documented and submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within 2 business days from the exam date. (akademi@tursab.org.tr) The fees of those who provide documentation for force majeure will be refunded, but no refunds will be given to those who have taken the Tourism Knowledge Exam but have not taken the Written and/or Oral Foreign Language exam, even if an excuse is provided. For candidates who have previously passed the Tourism Knowledge Exam and will only take the foreign language exam this term, if there is a force majeure preventing them from taking the written exam, the exam fee will be refunded.
12. Objections to the exam results must be submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within 10 business days following the announcement of the exam results.
