ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE INFORMATION OFFICER EXAM

Dear Members,
- In accordance with Article 46 and subsequent articles of the Travel Agencies Regulation, the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam, foreign language written exam, and foreign language oral exam will be held by TÜRSAB (The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) on the dates specified below and under the conditions specified on the website (www.tursab. org.tr, https://akademi.tursab.org.tr).
- The exam fee is 3,000 TL, and the relevant amount can be paid by credit card through the exam application screens.
- The exam fee for persons authorized to represent and bind travel agencies is 1,500 TL with a 50% discount. (A maximum of 3 different persons authorized to represent and bind each company are entitled to participate in the exam free of charge once per person. Persons who have benefited from the free exam right in previous exams and companies with a total of 3 authorized representatives who have benefited from the free exam are not eligible for this exception).
- For agency employees, the exam fee is 1,500 TL with a 50% discount. (Agency employees must upload the current QR code-enabled “SGK Registration and Service Summary/Workplace Title List” document obtained from E-Devlet to the system when applying for the exam. Applications made with the “Employment Notification” will not be accepted.)
- Due to the disaster that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 11 provinces (Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elâzığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa), no exam fees will be collected from the authorized representatives and employees of travel agencies with their central offices in the region.
- Exam Application Dates: July 1, 2025 – July 27, 2025 (Time: 11:59 p.m.)
- Applications will be made online by participants via the TÜRSAB Academy website. (https://akademi.tursab.org.tr)
- The Information Officer Exam will be conducted online according to the following schedule:
- Tourism Knowledge Exam Date and Time (Online): August 2, 2025 (10:30 a.m.)
- Foreign Language Written Exam Date (Online): August 9, 2025 (10:30 a.m.)
- Foreign Language Oral Exam Date (Online): August 16-17, 2025
- The Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam will be conducted in Turkish and will consist of 50 questions covering topics such as General Tourism Knowledge, Tourism Geography, Tourism Economics, and Tourism Marketing. The exam duration is 60 minutes. Those who score 70 points or higher and pass the exam will be eligible to work as Information Officers in “C” group travel agencies. Those who pass the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam and also demonstrate success in the Information Officer Foreign Language Written Exam and the Information Officer Foreign Language Oral Exam will be eligible to work as Information Officers in “A,” “B,” and “C” group Travel Agencies.
- The Information Officer Foreign Language Written and Oral Exams will be conducted in English, Arabic, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Bulgarian. Participants will be able to take the foreign language written and oral exams in the language they select when filling out the online application form. The foreign language written exam is scored out of 50 points, and the oral exam is also scored out of 50 points.
- Individuals who have reached the age of 18 by the date of the exam are eligible to participate.
- Documents that must be uploaded to the system after completing the online application form:
- A color passport-sized photo taken within the last 6 months,
- Identity card or driver's license,
- If the applicant is an agency representative and authorized signatory, the most recent signature circular indicating this information.
- If the applicant is an agency employee, a current QR code-enabled “SGK Registration and Service Summary/Workplace Title List” document obtained from e-Government (“Job Entry Notification” applications will not be accepted).
- Participants who have previously obtained an Information Officer Success Certificate and wish to obtain only a Foreign Language Success Certificate must upload their Information Officer Success Certificates to the system.
- To be eligible to take the foreign language written exam to be held on August 9, 2025, a minimum score of 70 must be obtained on the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam.
- Participants who have previously obtained an Information Officer Success Certificate and wish to obtain only a foreign language success certificate will not take the Tourism Knowledge Exam but must take the Foreign Language Written Exam and the Foreign Language Oral Exam.
- To be eligible to take the Foreign Language Oral Exam on August 16-17, 2025, candidates must score at least 20 points out of 50 on the Foreign Language Written Exam.
- Foreign nationals participating in the exam must present their work permits or residence permits. These individuals must have a temporary Turkish ID number.
- Payments made will not be refunded unless there are compelling reasons on the date of the exam.
ONLINE EXAM PROCESS
- Candidates who provide all the required documents must create a user account on the TÜRSAB Academy website at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/register/ and log in to the system by 23:59 on July 27, 2025. Candidates who already have an account on the TÜRSAB Academy website should log in to the system with their username and password at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/. Candidates who previously had an account but cannot remember their username and/or password can send a password reset email to the email address they previously provided by clicking on the “Forgot your password?” link.
- Candidates who log in to the system can access the application page by clicking on the “New Application & My Current Applications” option, fill out the application form, and submit their applications by attaching the required documents to the form using the upload options below the form. (Images such as photographs, identity documents, and Information Officer Success Certificates must be uploaded in JPG format, while documents such as signature circulars, SGK Registration and Service Records/Workplace Title Lists must be uploaded in PDF format.)
- Once completed, applications will be reviewed by TÜRSAB Academy. Applications with errors will be rejected, and the applicant will be notified to make corrections. Applications without errors will receive preliminary approval, after which the applicant will be sent an email containing a payment link. This payment link is also accessible through the TÜRSAB Academy website. Candidates who receive payment information will complete the application process by paying the exam fee with a credit card. Candidates who have completed the process will wait for the exam date.
- Candidates must log in to the TÜRSAB Academy website with their username and password on the exam date and time, so it is important that they do not lose their account information.
- For the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam, which will be held online on August 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., candidates will be able to log in to the system with the username and password they chose when they applied and start the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/ Candidates who previously obtained an Information Officer Success Certificate and uploaded it during the application process will not be eligible to take the exam on August 2, 2025.
- Participants who score 70 or above in the Online Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam to be held on August 2, 2025, will be eligible to take the Online Foreign Language Written Exam to be held on August 9, 2025.
- The links required to enter the written and oral exams will be shared with the candidates by the foreign language school organizing the exam.
- Following the Online Foreign Language Written Exam on August 9, 2025, and the Online Foreign Language Oral Exam on August 16-17, 2025, participants who score 70 points or higher in the total of the written exam (calculated out of 50 points) and the oral exam (calculated out of 50 points) will be eligible to receive the “Information Officer Foreign Language” certificate. (Candidates who score less than 20 points on the Foreign Language Written Exam are not eligible to take the Foreign Language Oral Exam).
- Participants can find out all their exam results by following the announcements and logging in with their username and password on the TÜRSAB Academy website. Similarly, users who pass the exams will be able to receive their certificates digitally and with a QR code using this method. - In accordance with Article 48 of the Travel Agencies Regulation, exam preparation materials and question banks for candidates taking the exam are available on the “TÜRSAB Academy” website under the “Information Officer Exam Online Preparation Courses” section. These training materials are available free of charge until August 1, 2025, to help participants prepare for the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/ws/enformasyon-memurlugu-online-hazirlik-egitimleri/ Additionally, the educational materials are mandatory documents that must be downloaded during the exam application process, and the application process will not be completed without the relevant materials being obtained by the candidates.
- Since the Tourism Knowledge Exam will be conducted online simultaneously for all participants, excuses will not be accepted unless there is a compelling reason (documented with a report). Compelling reasons must be documented and submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within two business days of the exam date. (akademi@tursab.org.tr) Fees will be refunded to those who provide proof of force majeure. However, no refunds will be issued to those who took the Tourism Knowledge Exam but did not take the Foreign Language Written and/or Oral Exam, even if they provide an excuse. For candidates who have previously passed the Tourism Knowledge Exam and are only taking the foreign language exam in this period, the exam fee will be refunded if there is a force majeure reason preventing them from taking the written exam.
- Appeals against exam results must be submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within 10 working days following the announcement of the exam results.
