ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE INFORMATION OFFICER EXAMINATION
Dear Members,
1. In accordance with Article 46 and subsequent articles of the Travel Agencies Regulation, the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam, foreign language written exam, and foreign language oral exam will be held by TÜRSAB (Turkish Travel Agencies Association) on the dates specified below and under the conditions stated on the website (www.tursab.org.tr, https://akademi.tursab.org.tr).
2. The exam fee is 4,000 TL and can be paid by credit card via the exam application screens.
a. The exam fee for persons authorized to represent and bind travel agencies is 2,000 TL, with a 50% discount. (Each company has the right to have up to 3 different persons authorized to represent and bind the company take the exam free of charge, once per person. Individuals who have benefited from free exam rights in exams held in previous periods and companies with a total of 3 authorized representatives who have benefited from the exam free of charge are not eligible for this exception)
b. For agency employees, the exam fee is 2,000 TL with a 50% discount. (When applying for the exam, agency employees must upload the current QR code-enabled “SGK Registration and Service Summary/Workplace Title List” document obtained from E-Devlet to the system; applications made with the “Employment Notification” will not be accepted).
c. Due to the disaster that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected four provinces (Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya), travel agencies with their head office in the region will not be charged an exam fee for their authorized representatives and employees.
3. Exam Application Dates: February 27, 2026 – March 22, 2026 (Time: 23:59)
4. Applications will be made online by participants via the TÜRSAB Academy website. (https://akademi.tursab.org.tr)
5. The Information Officer Exam will be conducted online according to the following schedule:
- Tourism Knowledge Exam Date and Time (Online) : March 28, 2026 (10:30)
- Foreign Language Written Exam Date (Online) : April 4, 2026 (10:30)
- Foreign Language Oral Exam Date (Online) : April 11-12, 2026
6. Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam; The exam will be conducted in Turkish and will consist of 50 questions covering topics such as General Tourism Knowledge, Tourism Geography, Tourism Economics, and Marketing. The exam duration is 60 minutes. Those who score 70 points or higher on the exam will be eligible to work as Information Officers in “C” group Travel Agencies. Those who pass the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge exam and also perform well in the Information Officer Foreign Language Written Exam and the Information Officer Foreign Language Oral Exam will be able to work as Information Officers in “A”, ‘B’ and “C” group Travel Agencies.
7. The Information Officer Foreign Language Written and Oral Exams will be conducted in English, Arabic, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Bulgarian. Participants will take the foreign language written and oral exams in the language they select when filling out the online application form. The foreign language written exam is scored out of 50 points, and the oral exam is scored out of 50 points.
8. Individuals who have reached the age of 18 by the date of the exam are eligible to take the exam.
9. Documents to be uploaded to the system after completing the online application form:
- Color passport photo taken within the last 6 months,
- Identity card or driver's license,
- If the applicant is an agency representative or authorized signatory, the most recent signature circular indicating this information.
- If the applicant is an agency employee, a current QR code document obtained from e-Government titled “SSII Registration and Service Summary/Workplace Title List” (applications made with the “Employment Notification” will not be accepted).
- Participants who have previously obtained an Information Officer Success Certificate and only wish to obtain a Foreign Language Success Certificate must upload their Information Officer Success Certificates to the system.
10. To be eligible to take the foreign language written exam to be held on April 4, 2026, a minimum score of 70 must be obtained on the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam.
11. Participants who have previously received an Information Officer Success Certificate and only wish to obtain a foreign language success certificate will not take the Tourism Knowledge Exam; they must take the Foreign Language Written Exam and Foreign Language Oral Exam.
12. To be eligible to take the Foreign Language Oral Exam on April 11 and 12, 2026, candidates must obtain a score of at least 20 out of 50 on the Foreign Language Written Exam.
13. Foreign nationals participating in the exam must present their work permits or residence permits. These individuals must have a temporary Turkish ID number.
14. Payments made will not be refunded unless there are compelling reasons on the date of the exam.
ONLINE EXAM PROCESS
1. Candidates who have provided all the required documents must create a user account on the TÜRSAB Academy website at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/register/ and log in to the system by 23:59 on March 22, 2026.
Candidates who already have an account on the TÜRSAB Academy website must log in to the system using their username and password at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/ . Candidates who already have an account but do not remember their username and/or password can send a password reset email to the email address they previously provided by clicking on the Forgot your password? field.
2. Applicants who log in to the system can access the application page by clicking on the “New Application & My Current Applications” option and complete their applications by filling out the application form and attaching the required documents using the upload options below the form. (Images such as photos, ID, and Information Officer Success Certificate must be uploaded as JPG files, while documents such as signature circulars, SGK Registration and Service Report/Workplace Title List must be uploaded as PDF files)
3. After completed applications are reviewed by TÜRSAB Academy, any applications with errors will be rejected, and the applicant will be notified to make corrections. After preliminary approval of error-free applications, candidates will receive an email containing a payment link. This payment link can also be accessed via the TÜRSAB Academy website. Candidates who receive payment information will complete the application process by paying the exam fee with a credit card. Candidates who have completed the process will wait for the exam day.
4. As candidates must log in to the TÜRSAB Academy website with their username and password on the exam day and time, it is important that they do not lose their account information.
5. For the Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam, which will be held online on March 28, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., candidates will be able to log in to the system with the username and password they specified when applying and start the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/ Candidates who already have an Information Officer Certificate of Achievement and who indicate this during the application process and upload their certificate will not be able to take the exam on March 28, 2026.Participants who score 6. 70 or above in the Online Information Officer Tourism Knowledge Exam to be held on March 28, 2026, will be eligible to take the Online Foreign Language Written Exam to be held on April 4, 2026.
7. The links required to enter the written and oral exams will be shared with the candidates by the foreign language school organizing the exam.
8. After the Online Foreign Language Written Exam on April 4, 2026, and the Online Foreign Language Oral Exam on April 11-12, 2026, participants who score 70 points or above in the foreign language written exam (calculated out of 50 points) and oral exam (calculated out of 50 points) will be added together. Participants who score 70 points or above will be eligible to receive the “Information Officer Foreign Language” certificate. (Candidates who score below 20 points on the Foreign Language Written Exam will not be eligible to take the Foreign Language Oral Exam).
9. Participants can check all exam results by logging in with their username and password on the TÜRSAB Academy website, following the announcements. Similarly, successful candidates can obtain their certificates digitally with a QR code using this method. Documents are not issued physically. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/
10. In accordance with Article 48 of the Travel Agencies Regulation, exam preparation materials and question banks for candidates taking the exam are available on the “TÜRSAB Academy” website under “Information Officer Exam Online Preparation Training.” These training materials will be available free of charge until March 27, 2026 to help participants prepare for the exam. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/ws/enformasyon-memurlugu-online-hazirlik-egitimleri/ In addition, the training materials are mandatory documents that must be downloaded during the exam application process, and the application process will not be completed unless the relevant materials are obtained by the candidates.
11. Since the Tourism Knowledge Exam will be conducted online simultaneously for all participants, excuses will not be accepted unless there is a compelling reason (documented with a report). Compelling reasons must be documented and submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within 2 business days of the exam date. (akademi@tursab.org.tr) Fees will be refunded to those who provide proof of force majeure. However, no refunds will be made to those who took the Tourism Knowledge Exam but did not take the Foreign Language Written and/or Oral Exam, even if they provide an excuse. For candidates who have previously passed the Tourism Knowledge Exam and are only taking the foreign language exam this period, the exam fee will be refunded if there is a force majeure reason preventing them from taking the written exam.
12. Any objections to the exam results must be submitted to TÜRSAB Academy via email within 10 business days following the announcement of the results of the exam to which the objection relates.
