ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE LAWSUIT FILED BY OUR ASSOCIATION AGAINST THE TRANSACTION OF THE INTER-MINISTERIAL HAJJ AND UMRAH BOARD DETERMINING A DEPOSIT OF SAR 2.000.000
Dear Members,
As it is known, with the subparagraph (c) of the 4th article of the 2024-2025 Agency Umrah Specifications issued by the Inter-Ministerial Hajj and Umrah Board, the Presidency has imposed an obligation on travel agencies wishing to sign a contract to submit a bank letter of guarantee in the amount of SAR 2,000,000 or a letter of guarantee equivalent to an equivalent amount of foreign currency to be valid until 15.10.2025.
Our Association has filed a lawsuit with a request for stay of execution in order to cancel the said regulation and the exorbitant amount of collateral provision, and the proceedings are being carried out through the file numbered 2024/3983 Esas of the 10th Chamber of the Council of State.
Our members who wish to object to the guarantee provisions in the Specification have the right to intervene in the case. If requested by our members who wish to intervene in the lawsuit, the lawsuit petition will be shared with them separately.
