ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE REPLACEMENT OF OLD POS DEVICES WITH NEW GENERATION PAYMENT RECORDERS

Dear Members,

With the letter sent by the Revenue Administration to the banks on 16.08.2024, it was stated that the old pos devices should be replaced with New Generation Payment Recording Devices (YN ÖKC), the deadline for replacement is 15.11.2024, otherwise the old pos devices will be taken back.

However, with the 8th article of subparagraph A of the 49 numbered ÖKC Communiqué published in the Official Gazette dated 10.02.1994 and numbered 21845, travel agencies established according to the Law No. 1618 are excluded from the obligation to use ÖKC. 

In this respect, it is considered that you can be excluded from the obligation to change YN ÖKCs by applying to the Tax Office you are affiliated to with a petition on the grounds written above, together with the attached SCR Communiqué No. 49, and then submitting the exemption letter to the banks you have contracted with.

The sample petition you will submit to the Tax Office is attached as a draft.
