ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE STAY OF EXECUTION DECISION TAKEN IN THE LAWSUIT FILED BY OUR ASSOCIATION AGAINST THE INTER-MINISTERIAL HAJJ AND UMRAH BOARD'S TRANSACTION SETTING A DEPOSIT OF SAR 2.000.000

Dear Members,

As it is known, our Association has filed a lawsuit with a request for stay of execution in order to cancel the regulation and the exorbitant amount of collateral provision, which imposes the obligation on travel agencies wishing to sign a contract with the Presidency to submit a bank letter of guarantee in the amount of SAR 2,000,000 or a letter of guarantee equivalent to an equivalent amount of foreign currency, valid until 15.10.2025, with the subparagraph (c) of Article 4 regarding the Collateral of the Agency Umrah Specifications for the Year 2024-2025 issued by the Inter-Ministerial Hajj and Umrah Board.

In the proceedings conducted by the 10th Chamber of the Council of State through the file numbered 2024/3983, our requests were deemed justified and our request for a stay of execution of the administrative act subject to the lawsuit was accepted.

With this decision; UNTIL A DECISION IS MADE TO THE OPPOSITE, THE PRESIDENCY OF THE RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST THE COLLINATION SUBJECT TO THE REVOCATION FROM TRAVEL AGENCIES.
