Announcement On The TÜRSAB MICE Expertise Certificate
THE APPLICATION PROCESS HAS BEGUN

 

Dear Members,

Applications are now being accepted for the TÜRSAB MICE Expertise Certificate, which was established to certify the institutional competencies and industry experience of travel agencies operating in the MICE tourism sector.

The MICE Expertise Certificate is a certification awarded to travel agencies recognized as experts in MICE activities and that meet the professional competency criteria established by TÜRSAB.

While this certificate is not one of the mandatory documents required to organize a MICE event, it serves as proof that the travel agency holding this certificate has been reviewed and approved by TÜRSAB as an expert in MICE activities.

 

Who Can Apply?

• Group A Travel Agencies

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA

1. Professional Competency Criteria

a. Organizing at least 15 separate MICE events within the last 3 years

or

Organizing MICE events with a total budget of 30 million TL

b. Having no final penalties imposed by the TÜRSAB Disciplinary Committee within the last 5 years

c. No decision issued by the TÜRSAB TOAR Unit against the travel agency within the last 1 year

ç. No outstanding dues owed to the Association

2. Financial Eligibility Criteria

a. Have paid-in capital equal to at least the membership registration fee for the relevant year (650,000.00 TL for 2026)

b. Provide proof that there are no outstanding debts subject to collection by the tax office or the Social Security Institution (SGK)

3. Personnel Criteria

a. Authorized Management Personnel (Form 2)

1. Have held a position with authority to represent and bind the travel agency organizing MICE activities for at least five years,

or

2. Hold a degree in tourism management from a university and provide proof—in the form of a reference letter, announcement, or other documentation issued by the event organizer—that you have served in at least three nationally or internationally recognized MICE events within the last three years,

or

3. Hold an associate’s degree and provide proof—in the form of a reference letter, announcement, or other documentation issued by the event organizer—that you have served in at least five nationally or internationally recognized MICE events within the last five years,

or

4. Have worked for five years as project manager staff at a travel agency organizing MICE events and verify this with a letter issued by the relevant travel agency’s authorized representatives and Social Security Institution (SGK) records,

b. Project Manager Staff (Form 3)

1. Hold a degree in tourism management from a university or possess a certificate from the TÜRSAB MICE Specialization Program,

or

2. Hold at least a high school diploma and provide proof—through a reference letter, announcement, or other documentation issued by a travel agency official or event organizer, along with SGK records—that you have worked as a Project Manager in at least five MICE events within the last five years.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, and other required documents must be prepared in full by the applicants and uploaded to the system via the TÜRSAB Academy Online Application System to complete the application.

Detailed criteria and guidelines regarding the application process are outlined in the “Procedures and Principles Regarding the TÜRSAB MICE Expertise and MICE INT Certificates.”

The Evaluation Commission will issue certificates on behalf of personnel whose qualifications it deems acceptable following its assessment of personnel criteria; thereafter, the application file will be reviewed.
