ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE USE OF VEHICLE CAMERA SYSTEMS IN TOURISM TRANSPORTATION

Dear Members,

With the amendment to the Highway Traffic Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 19.08.2025, the requirement to have a vehicle camera system in motor vehicles used in the tourism transportation sector has been stipulated according to the model years of the vehicles. However, the absence of the aforementioned vehicle camera system will only be considered a “minor defect” during vehicle inspections. At this stage, no other sanctions will be applied. (This is because the detailed specifications of the vehicle camera system have not yet been determined and the necessary infrastructure for its installation has not been established.)

Communication between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and TÜRSAB on this matter is ongoing, and further information will be provided regarding developments and possible changes.
