ANNOUNCEMENT ON THY ELECTRONIC LETTER OF GUARANTEE

Dear Members,

As it is known, currently, the originals of the domestic letters of guarantee issued by our members addressed to Turkish Airlines are physically delivered to Turkish Airlines. 

Within the framework of the developed program, as of 06.05.2024, Turkish Airlines will start to accept letters of guarantee electronically through the Electronic Letter of Guarantee Platform (ETMP), which is put into service through the Findeks Platform developed by the Credit Bureau (KKB).

In this context, the following issues regarding the letters of guarantee will apply:

* Your physical letters of guarantee currently held with THY will remain valid.
* After 06.05.2024, only if the bank you work with is not a member of ETMP and there is no other alternative, physical letters of guarantee may still be accepted, provided that prior approval is obtained from THY.
* Acceptance, return, release, indemnification and archiving of the e-guarantee will be carried out through ETMP.
* Transactions can be made by giving instructions through ETMP member banks.
