ANNOUNCEMENT ON TÜRSAB EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Dear Members,

Since it is urgently necessary to ensure that the immovables in the use and past ownership of our Association are taken back or purchased by TÜRSAB, and that the shares in the subsidiaries that carry out activities related to TÜRSAB and our members are collected under the Union; 03.06. In accordance with Article 7 of the Regulation on the Association of Travel Agencies, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated 03.06.2018 and numbered 30440, with the decision of our Board of Directors dated 21.04.2025 in order to ensure that the transactions that will put the Association under obligation or reduce its assets or in the nature of real rights are carried out within the knowledge of the General Assembly;

Article 34 titled “Bodies of the Association” of the Law No. 1618 on Travel Agencies and the Association of Travel Agencies states that “The General Assembly convenes every three years in November. In addition, the General Assembly may be called for an extraordinary meeting by the Board of Directors or ex officio by the Ministry. The majority of the representatives must attend the ordinary and extraordinary meetings. If the majority is not obtained in the first meeting, the meeting shall be held within a maximum of one week without a majority. Decisions are taken by the majority of the representatives present at the meetings.” and in the 1st paragraph of Article 7 of the Regulation on the Association of Travel Agencies published in the Official Gazette dated 03.06.2018 and numbered 30440, ”General Assembly .... “The General Assembly may be called for an extraordinary meeting at any time by the Board of Directors or upon the request of the Ministry...” and in the 3rd paragraph of Article 7, paragraph 1 of the Regulation on the Association of Travel Agencies published in the Official Gazette dated 03.06.2018 and numbered 304.03.2018, ”If the majority is not achieved in the first meeting, the second meeting shall be held within one week at the latest without a majority.

The Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting will be held on Friday, 23.05.2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Istanbul Lütfü Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center - Rumeli Hall, Harbiye/ISTANBUL, and if the majority is not achieved at this meeting, it will be held on Tuesday, 27.05.2025 at the same place and at the same time within the scope of the agenda items below:
