The most powerful expression of our independence and national spirit, the National Anthem, was composed 104 years ago today. It encapsulates the unshakable will of our nation and the love of our homeland in verse and carries it to eternity.
I commemorate our great poet, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who gifted us this unique work with respect, gratitude, and mercy.
