The Turkish nation’s spirit of independence and resolve to never accept enslavement were etched in history in golden letters with the Victory of August 30, achieved under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
On the occasion of the 104th anniversary of this great victory—one of the cornerstones on the path to the Republic—I remember with compassion our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, as well as our beloved martyrs who sacrificed their lives for our homeland, and I honor our heroic veterans with gratitude.
