PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT ON UNTRUE ALLEGATIONS ABOUT OUR UNION WRITTEN ON SOCIAL MEDIA
As TÜRSAB, we participate in the world's leading fairs organized in our country every year to contribute to our country's tourism sector and ensure that our members have a stronger place in the national and international markets. In this context, a booth was provided at the WTM London Fair, which has been organized for many years, to improve our members' bilateral relations at the international level. In addition, our stand was made available to our exhibitors and visitors as in every fair.
Contrary to the allegations put forward on social media, no Mayor was taken to this fair at the invitation of TÜRSAB and at TÜRSAB's expense. The amounts for hot water, fruit service, stand hostess and cleaning service expenses stated in the allegations are incompatible with reality. All services at our stand were provided under the prestige of our members but within reasonable limits.
WTM London is an internationally prestigious fair of great importance for the promotion of our country and the business development activities of our travel agencies. The magnitude of the impact of our participation in the aforementioned exhibition is too important and valuable to be defamed by these slanders.
If the allegations in question are evaluated in terms of the way they have emerged, it is at the public's discretion who is behind them. It is known to the whole sector who is disturbed by the TÜRSAB stand at the London Fair in terms of showing what can be done with modest budgets, as opposed to the huge budgets of others.
Our Association is an organization that publishes its financial statements regarding its income and expenses and is accountable to its members.
As TÜRSAB, we would like to emphasize once again that we will continue to work for the development of our sector and our country's tourism, always taking into account the interests of our members, and that we will take legal action against false and slanderous publications.
