XCORP. (TWITTER) ANNOUNCEMENT ON ADVERTISING BAN
Dear Members,
Pursuant to the decision of the Institution of Information and Communication Technologies dated 19.07.2023 and numbered 39225, it has been decided to prohibit the placement of new advertisements to the social network provider XCorp. (Twitter), formerly known as Twitter Inc., by real and legal persons resident in Turkey who are taxpayers, in accordance with the second paragraph of the additional article 4 and provisional article 6 of the Law No. 5651 dated 04/05/2007 on the Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed Through Such Publications.
The first paragraph of Article 34 of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority's Procedures and Principles on Social Network Providers stipulates that "Pursuant to the advertising ban decision, no new contract can be established with the social network and the second provider and no money transfer can be made to the social network provider".
