IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ON HAJJ AND UMRAH ORGANIZATIONS
Dear Members ,
In the letter numbered 5929976 of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Investments and Enterprises;
It is requested to inform travel agencies to eliminate the problems identified in the inspections carried out by the Inspection Board regarding Hajj and Umrah organizations and the inspections carried out by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DIB) in Saudi Arabia and to prevent any other grievances.
The letter summarizes;
- Travel agencies engaged in advertising, marketing and sales for Hajj and Umrah organizations will be required to submit the authorization certificate obtained from the DİB,
- Travel agencies that advertise, market, and sell Hajj and Umrah organizations on behalf of travel agencies authorized by the DIB will be asked to submit the contract signed between them within the scope of Hajj and Umrah organizations,
- Administrative sanctions will be imposed in cases of not issuing contracts, not having compulsory insurance, and misleading advertising/promotional activities in package tours, including Hajj and Umrah organizations,
- It is stated that in case of causing consumer victimization and detecting activities that harm the image of the country, administrative sanctions will be imposed and the business certificate will be canceled.
